Dahi Baray | Dahi Vada | Dahi Bhalla Recipe | Food Celebrations<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />Soaked Mash Dal | Urad Dal | White coloured lentils 1 cup<br />Soaked Moong Dal | Yellow lentils 1/2 cup<br />1 green chilli chopped<br />5 garlic cloves<br />1 tsp red chilli powder/ paprika<br />Pepper 1/2 tsp<br />Cumin ½ tsp<br />Yogurt 2 cups<br />Salt to taste<br />Sugar 1 tsp<br />Pepper 1 tsp<br />Tamarind sauce<br />Mint chutney<br />Chopped tomatoes for garnishing<br />Onion rings<br />Sev nimco<br />Chat masala<br /><br />Method:<br />Soak the lentils overnight. Grind the lentils with the spices to form a smooth paste. Beat the batter till fluffy. Then fry in hot oil on a medium flame. Take a bowl of water and add salt to it. Drop the fried balls into the water. After 10 minutes squeeze out the water gently. Place these balls in a dish. Now take the yogurt and add the salt, sugar, pepper and beat by adding a little water. Pour the yogurt over the vadas. Add tamarind sauce, mint chutney and garnish with tomatoes and onion rings. To add a crunch sev nimco/ papri can be added. It is now ready to serve.<br />
